Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Braun WK200W Aqua Express Electric Water Kettle, WhiteCustomer Review: good kettle Summary: 4 StarsIt's perfect except it's made of plastic!. I love it very much . I bought two. The older one is 3 years old . It's my favorite. Because I don't like plastic , I tried to used other kind of kettles to replace them again and again . But after Ia while, I used them again. I still can't find other kettle better than Braun. I hope they will have a better kettle not made of plastic. I love my Braun. The water tastes best
Customer Review: When it works, it's great! Summary: 3 StarsI've had two of these Braun electric kettles. I loved the first one, which lasted a good few years, but I got a little too exuberant when cleaning it and broke the hinge on the lid. I purchased a second one and determined to be more careful. It seemed no time before I noticed puddles of water forming around the base and rather than chance electrocution for a cup of tea, I tossed the kettle in the bin. I am now in the market for a new kettle, and as much as I like the design and the function of Braun kettle I doubt I will purchase another one.
Customer Review: Good for no more than a year Summary: 2 StarsWe had had two of these kettles and both started leaking terribly after about a year of use. The first time we had a bit of a damage done to it, so it was understandable. We bought a second one and it leaks much much more than the first one with 0 damage. Every morning I wake up to a puddle on my table. Would not recommend this product.
Customer Review: Accesories? where to buy spout filters? Summary: 5 StarsLove the item, think it's fast, neat. Anyone know where to purhcase the spout filters?
Thanks,

Customer Review: lasted 8 years despite all my attempts to kill it! Summary: 5 StarsOk this is an odd time to write a review - this kettle just died! BUT it lasted for 8 years being used 4-5 times a day (making coffee and tea and boiling water for any cooking I was doing) survived being dropped twice and slogged on reliably. I LOVED this little kettle.
Anyway, looking for a replacement online it seems that the newer version costs a jaw dropping $160 - I bought mine originally for $60.
I did not have a problem with any plasticky smell, taste or leaks or rust of any kind. It just kept going until the switch in the handle stopped working.
