Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Braun WK200B AquaExpress Electric Water KettleCustomer Review: The Best Ever Summary: 5 StarsWe love our Braun water/tea kettle. It's fast, efficient, easy and reliable. I wouldn't be without one.
Customer Review: Mother loves it Summary: 4 StarsAfter travelling in Hawaii, my Mom raved about water kettles and how it was faster than her normal way of boiling on a stove top.
I bought her this one from Amazon and she loves it. She uses it daily and will often make tea and coffee throughout the day now vs. only in the early morning time.
High recommended product. Has not had any issues with the auto shutoff not working.
Customer Review: This is my second one Summary: 5 StarsI bought this at Fry's for my mother since she love drinking tea everyday. So after two years -- I still find it the best one on the market. It seem to be discontinue but luckily I found it on Amazon and sad to pay the same price from 2-years ago for it.
Customer Review: Another leaking kettle Summary: 1 StarsLike other reviewers, our kettle started to leak after 8 months. Too bad, as I absolutely loved the kettle. After reading all the negative reviews about the customer service, I guess I will end up trashing it instead of trying to get it replaced. The real shocker is, we paid $36 for this kettle on Amazon. It is now selling for $130!!! I can't recommend anyone buying this kettle for that amount of money. Especially after knowing it is probably going to only work for less than a year.
Customer Review: Great in college, great now... Summary: 5 StarsI love this water kettle because it works so well and has the automatic shut-off feature, so you do not need to worry about forgetting to switch it off.
It's fast, has a filter for coarser residue, and heats water quickly. It pours nicely and, unless you go entirely overboard due to a lack of patience, never drips. I had this thing in college for teas, soups, and cooking... and it worked then as well as it does now for broth, teas dog food, and pasta... not that you put the pasta into the kettle but it speeds up the cooking of the water. ;)
I can recommend this item, although it has gotten fairly costly... the price is double what I paid for on amazon.com for a J&R version. It looks stylish but is all plastic, which surprised me, since the image hinted at some chrome parts. This does not take from the overall appeal this utensil sports.
