Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Braun KF600 Impressions 10-Cup Thermal Coffeemaker, Brushed Stainless SteelCustomer Review: really enjoy this, no problems with it so far Summary: 5 Starsbought this coffee pot back last April and use it at least 5X per week. Love the water filter built in so I can use water from the sink and not worry about it being filtered. Looks good sitting on the counter too. So far no problems with it.
Customer Review: It's a coffee maker! Summary: 4 StarsI owned the old version of this same brand and model which served me well for 15+ years. After reading bad reviews of other brands on this site I thought I'd stick with what works. I like this unit because it doesn't have any useless features like flavor settings, timers, clocks, etc. It just does what it is supposed to do. It is well made of decent materials and delivers a good pot of hot coffee. My one complaint is that the carafe doesn't keep the coffee as hot as my old one. This one has a metal interior, the old one was silvered glass. The metal may be more rugged but even with preheating it only keeps the coffee hot for a few hours at best. Unlike some other brands reviewed, I've had no problems with spilling, leaking, or other nasty operation. The lid is well designed and is very easy to pour (better than the old one). Overall I'm happy with the purchase.
Customer Review: great coffeemaker Summary: 5 StarsI had a hard time deciding what thermal coffeemaker to buy after reading the reviews. This was a great purchase. I agree with some other reviewers that the water fill line is on the wrong side but that is because of my kitchen layout. I also stopped using the gold filter because I was ending up with particles/sludge at the bottom of my cup. Paper filter, problem solved. I also like that it is compact in size yet holds as much as my old super tall coffeemaker.
Customer Review: Great coffeemker Summary: 5 StarsI am a college student, so this was a lot of money for me to drop on a coffee maker. I spent several days reading reviews on many coffeemakers. I decided I really wanted to get a thermal carafe and ended up deciding on the Braun. I am glad that I did. I think the built in water filter is cool, I will really decide when I have to buy a replacement in a month or so...I like the gold filter a lot, its easy to spray out in the sink. The carafe keeps coffee hot for quite some time, and I almost never pre-rinse with hot water, which will add at least an hour to the time. It brews quickly, but a timer would have been nice so I could wake up to already brewed coffee.
Customer Review: Warm Cup-O-Jo Summary: 1 StarsThis coffee maker is attractive but I wonder if it ever went through any product testing before it hit the market. As other reviews have mentioned, I too find that this coffee maker doesn't get the water hot enough to brew a rich tasting pot of coffee. Additionally, the carafe may be thermal but it doesn't keep the coffee hot because it's not coming out of the machine hot enough. The pad that the carafe sits on doesn't offer any warming properties either. I've been very disappointed with this coffee maker ever since I bought it about 3 years ago. On the upside, it's not failing to disappoint me -- it keeps making my warm cups of coffee every day. I keep hoping one day it will break so I can replace it.
