I have had a two Braun coffeemakers in the past and was unable to locate another when I needed a replacement. I bought this one as a "spare" to have on hand when my present coffemaker dies. The Braun was the best coffeemaker I've ever owned and I am pleased to have another. Since many of the coffeemakers now with many more bells and whistles start at triple the price of this one, I am delighted to have found this one on amazon.com Customer Review: Very good coffeemaker

I am very happy with this coffeemaker. I was looking for a no-frills coffeemaker to replace my 13-year-old Braun. This coffeemaker works well and makes very hot coffee. The carafe pours nicely. The Braun KF519-BK Coffee Maker is a great little machine and priced just right. I love the simplicity; only one button--ON or OFF! Narrow footprint takes up little counter space and it fits easily under cupboards. Ten cup capacity is perfectly adequate, and makes coffee just as fast as any other maker I've owned. Highly recommended--for the price, you can't go wrong.Customer Review: Great coffee maker!

Braun makes the BEST coffee makers. Twice as fast as a Mr Coffee and uses the much more desireable Melitta cone filters. You can purchase the pricey internal water filters but we just use pre-filtered water instead.
